Welcome back to Frisco SEO terms part two! Osky Blue strives to keep you in the loop so this is for those of you who think you are learning a new language when it comes to online marketing. Here are a few more terms you may have heard before but didn’t quite know what they meant:
Bounce rate is an internet marketing term that is used when analyzing the web traffic of a site. It is defined as: “the percentage of visits that go only one page before exiting a site” (www.support.google.com/). The value is expressed by a percentage and since it represents the number of users leaving your site at the first page, the lower the percentage, the better. If your website’s bounce rate is over 50% you should be concerned. If it is over 80%, there is definitely something wrong and you should be evaluating your Frisco SEO strategies. There are many things that can affect your bounce rate, including: site design flaws or issues with usability. If your site is slow to load your users may lose patience and look elsewhere. Or perhaps the visitor lost interest in your site on the first page or already found what they were looking for.
Organic search results
Organic search results are the listings that appear on a search engine results pages as a result of entered search terms. Paid advertisements such as pay per click ads will also appear on the page but these are not organic results. According to Search Engine Journal: “70% of the links search users click on are organic” and “93% of online experiences begin with a search engine” (www.searchenginejournal.com). Being on the first page of those organic results is key to the success of your website. Hiring Osky Blue for your Frisco SEO, is how you get there!
Content Curation at the basic level is the gathering of appropriate content. It can be used for marketing strategies for all types of businesses. It is a way of screening for the most relevant information. In terms of Frisco SEO that means getting the most valuable content in your field on your website. Curation can be in the form of gathering information based on user ratings and recommendations (common for social sites and media), or it can consist of putting together a list of links to other related content on the internet. What it does for your website is it helps bring new, fresh, quality content to your website. Your site gains knowledge and credibility and gives visitors something interesting to read.
