Recently, we created a new website for Team Collinsworth, designed to help athletes with nutrition, rehabilitation after injury, managing their mental state and more. The new site had an immediate effect on two of Team Collinsworths’ new core practices: youth sports camps and speaking engagements.
Kyle and Shea Collinsworth are All-American and professional athletes who have created a highly sought-after athletic training business. Through their experience, they have realized the power of coaching athletes’ mental states and wanted to promote their public speaking services to a broader audience. Additionally, they wanted to showcase their youth sports camps. They asked Osky Blue to create a website with those capabilities in mind.
The first step was to spend time with Kyle and Shea to learn as much as we could about their goals for the youth sports camps. After we consulted with them about the camps, we developed a sitemap and plan for the new website. In addition to the Homepage, About Us, Photo Gallery and Contact Us pages, we also created a mobile-friendly page highlighting each state in which they offer youth sports camps along with all applicable information. We also optimized the page for search engines and highlighted in the top navigation. Osky Blue also created a page dedicated to the Collinsworths’ public speaking business. We highlighted the benefits of motivational speaking for athletes, and we outlined several potential topics that Kyle and Shea might discuss. The page includes a prominent call to action with contact information as well.
On top of the new services that Osky Blue highlighted, we updated the rest of the website with a beautiful responsive design, information about each of the Collinsworths’ services, and testimonials from high-profile clients. There’s no better way to gain consumer trust than through recognizable references, and we wanted to make them as prominent as possible.
Visitors to the new website will now see links to the “speaking” and “camps” part of the business in the upper left-hand corner of the navigation—that’s the place on the screen where site visitors are most likely to look. They will also have access to information about each service, testimonials, and contact information while scrolling through the homepage. Lastly, web users will now get the whole website experience whether they are using a tablet, desktop, or mobile phone.
