Big Bear Air Boosts Engagement and Personality with Website Redesign

Communicating your business’s personality through a website can be difficult, and when you need an added layer of user-friendliness and functionality, the job only gets harder.
Big Bear Air Conditioning & Heating, an A/C and heating repair company servicing the DFW metroplex, needed all of the above: a new website that reflected the company’s unique and fun brand, a user-friendly map feature and conveyed the company’s core values of customer service and professionalism.
Osky Blue’s web designers partnered with Big Bear to align their online presence with the company brand and personality. Taking both the company and their customers into consideration, Big Bear wanted to build both a vibrant and functional online destination for their client base.
Solution 1 – Better Reflecting the Company Culture
Big Bear Air knew they had built positive relationships with their clients offline, but they wanted to be sure they were communicating that online as well. Bears aren’t always the friendliest creatures, but maximizing the impact of the company logo with a smiling and winking bear got the point across!
To help with that personal touch, client reviews were included prominently on the site’s homepage. There’s no better way to show the company’s approachable nature than to highlight authentic client relationships.
Finally, Big Bear’s core values of respect, honesty, timeliness, professionalism, presentation, and enthusiasm were creatively displayed in the header of the website so visitors can’t possibly miss it.
Solution 2 – Turning Leads into Customers with a Map
One of the client’s goals was to answer an obvious question that all future Big Bear clients have: “Do you service our area?”
To address that question a service area page with a custom, eye-catching map was created. Instead of simply embedding a Google Map, Osky Blue designed a new one with each township that Big Bear services highlighted by a bear paw. To finish it off, Osky Blue highlighted the entire service area in blue; no more ambiguity, and no more lost leads.
Solution 3 – Online Finance Application
Heating and cooling repairs can be costly, and since emergencies don’t always happen when families are financially prepared, Big Bear Air wanted to make it easy to apply for financing online as well. To address that goal, Osky Blue incorporated a secure web form that customers can submit online to obtain financing for their HVAC project.
Since the site launch in August, traffic has been climbing quickly from search engines, direct visitors, and social channels. The site immediately started generating leads and user engagement including calls, financing applications, emails and social interactions.
